Helping you take back your health

A mental health and wellness clinic helping address all facets of life for comprehensive well-being.

Services

At Meadowlark Mind & Body, we take an integrative approach to mental health care. We understand that mental well-being is closely connected to physical health, daily habits, and life stressors. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we work with patients to look at the whole picture.

Our approach combines psychiatric care, therapy, lifestyle guidance, and supportive wellness strategies to help patients build resilience, improve self-awareness, and feel more balanced in their day-to-day lives. Treatment plans are individualized, practical, and focused on helping people feel better, function better, and move forward with confidence.

Psychiatric Medication Management

Medications can be beneficial in helping to manage symptoms of mental health disorders, thus improving the quality of life for those affected. They can help to stabilize mood, reduce associated symptoms, prevent relapse in chronic conditions, and improve cognitive function. Medications play a crucial role in mitigating the impact of mental health issues and enhancing treatment outcomes.

Therapy Services

Psychotherapy is vital for effectively treating mental health disorders. It offers individuals a secure and non-judgmental environment to explore their concerns and challenges. Psychotherapy offers a comprehensive approach to mental health treatment, addressing not only the symptoms but also the underlying factors contributing to them. By promoting self-awareness, personal growth, and emotional resilience, psychotherapy helps individuals lead more fulfilling and satisfying lives.

Diet Education

Nutrition plays a pivotal role in mental health. At Meadowlark Mind & Body, we assess dietary habits and offer nutritional guidance to support optimal brain function and emotional well-being. Recommendations may include a balanced diet rich in essential nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals while minimizing processed foods and sugars.

Exercise Counseling

Physical activity is closely linked to mental health, positively affecting mood, cognition, and stress management. At Meadowlark Mind & Body we promote regular exercise as part of a holistic treatment plan, offering guidance on suitable activities tailored to individual preferences and abilities.

Sleep Management

Quality sleep is fundamental for mental health and cognitive function. This practice addresses sleep disturbances through lifestyle modifications, relaxation techniques, and sleep hygiene practices, aiming to improve sleep patterns and restore restorative sleep cycles.

Supplementation Education

In certain cases, nutritional supplements may complement dietary interventions to address specific deficiencies or support mental well-being. This practice may recommend supplements such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or herbal remedies guided by individual needs and evidence-based research.

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy and Mental Health Support

Hormones play an important role in brain function, mood, energy, sleep, and cognitive clarity. Changes in hormone levels over time can contribute to symptoms such as depression, anxiety, fatigue, poor sleep, irritability, and reduced motivation.

At Meadowlark Mind & Body, bioidentical hormone therapy may be used off-label as an adjunct to psychiatric care when hormonal patterns appear to be contributing to mental health symptoms. The goal of treatment is to support mood, energy, sleep, cognition, and overall mental well-being, not to diagnose or treat endocrine disease.

Hormone therapy is individualized and integrated into a comprehensive mental health treatment plan that may include psychiatric medications, psychotherapy, lifestyle interventions, and nutritional support. When medical or endocrine conditions are suspected, coordination with a primary care provider or specialist is recommended.

Hormone-related treatments are discussed in detail with patients, including their off-label use for mental health symptoms, potential risks and benefits, and monitoring considerations. Therapy is continued only when meaningful improvement in mental health symptoms is observed.

Comprehensive Lab Testing

At Meadowlark Mind & Body, we offer comprehensive lab and blood work services to support the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders and increase one's overall quality of life. By identifying deficiencies in essential vitamins, minerals, and hormones, we can uncover imbalances that may contribute to anxiety, depression, fatigue, ADHD, and other mental and physical issues. Our in-depth testing provides valuable insights into thyroid function, hormone levels, and nutrient status, helping to create personalized treatment plans that promote both mental and physical well-being.

Spravato (esketamine)

Spravato® is an FDA-approved nasal spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD), defined as no improvement after at least two adequate antidepressant trials over 6-8 weeks. It works alongside an oral antidepressant and targets the NMDA receptor, although its exact mechanism is not fully understood.

Clinical studies have shown that participants using Spravato® experienced greater symptom reduction compared to those on a placebo, and continued use in a long-term study reduced the likelihood of depressive symptoms returning.

Not everyone is a candidate for Spravato®, so consult your healthcare provider for assessment. For more information, including potential side effects, check available resources and videos on Spravato®.

What We Treat

Various Mental Health Disorders and Overall Well-Being

Depressive Disorders

Individuals with depressive disorders may experience overwhelming sadness, emptiness, and a lack of motivation or interest in activities they once enjoyed. They may also feel fatigued, hopeless, and worthless, struggling to find joy in life. These feelings can interfere with daily functioning, impacting work, relationships, and overall well-being. Physical symptoms such as changes in appetite, sleep disturbances, and chronic pain are also common. Effective treatment, including therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, and support from loved ones, can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Anxiety Disorders

Those with anxiety disorders often feel on edge, tense, and constantly worried about potential threats or dangers. One may experience or feel physical symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, sweating, and trembling, along with persistent fears that interfere with daily functioning. These symptoms can lead to avoidance behaviors, impacting work, social interactions, and overall quality of life. Effective treatment, including therapy, medication, and stress management techniques, can help individuals manage anxiety and regain control over their lives.

Trauma & Stress Disorders

Trauma and stress disorders arise from experiencing or witnessing traumatic events and can significantly impact daily life. One may experience or feel various emotional, physical, cognitive, and behavioral symptoms, such as flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, and emotional numbness. These symptoms can substantially disrupt one's daily life, affecting work, relationships, and well-being. Comprehensive treatment, including therapy, medication, and support groups, can help individuals process trauma and develop coping strategies to improve their quality of life.

Sleep Disorders

Sleep disorders encompass conditions that disrupt normal sleep patterns, leading to difficulties in falling asleep, staying asleep, or feeling rested. One may experience or feel daytime fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and reduced overall well-being. Chronic sleep disturbances can contribute to other health issues, including depression and anxiety. Proper diagnosis and treatment, which may include lifestyle changes, therapy, and medication, are essential for restoring healthy sleep and improving quality of life.

Attention & Focus Disorders

Attention and focus disorders affect an individual's ability to concentrate, stay organized, and complete tasks. People with attention and focus disorders may experience symptoms such as difficulty sustaining attention, frequent mistakes, disorganization, distractibility, forgetfulness, hyperactivity (like fidgeting or restlessness), impulsiveness (like interrupting others), and challenges with waiting or following instructions. These symptoms can impact daily life, academic or work performance, and relationships.
