Your First Appointment

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, typically about 60 minutes. We review symptoms, history, medications, safety, goals, and relevant lifestyle or lab information when clinically appropriate. The goal is to build a practical treatment plan that fits your needs, not rush through a one-size-fits-all visit.

  • Review of current symptoms, history, medications, and goals
  • Discussion of treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives
  • Safety assessment and follow-up planning
  • Lab-informed or hormone-informed discussion only when clinically relevant
  • Clear next steps before you leave the visit

Is Meadowlark a crisis center?
