About Meadowlark Mind & Body

Meadowlark Mind & Body LLC (“MMB”) is a psychiatric mental health and wellness practice in Evanston, Wyoming. Care is provided by Brandon Jaggi, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Brandon Jaggi is not a physician or doctor of medicine.

Scope of Practice

Meadowlark Mind & Body is a psychiatric mental health and wellness practice. Laboratory testing, supplementation guidance, thyroid-related treatment, testosterone-related treatment, estradiol, progesterone, DHEA, and other hormone-related treatments, when used, are used as off-label adjunctive supports for mental health-related and quality-of-life symptoms such as mood changes, anxiety, fatigue, low motivation, poor sleep, cognitive concerns, libido changes, irritability, stress tolerance, and nervous system regulation.

Hormone-related treatment is not being used to diagnose or treat endocrine disease, menopause as a disease, hypogonadism, thyroid disease, infertility, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, or any non-psychiatric medical condition outside the scope of psychiatric mental health care.

Treatment decisions are individualized and based on symptoms, psychiatric history, functional impairment, clinical judgment, patient goals, informed consent, and appropriate monitoring. Patients may be referred to primary care, endocrinology, gynecology, urology, cardiology, pediatrics, emergency care, or other specialists when medical evaluation or specialty care is appropriate.

Laboratory Testing

Laboratory testing at Meadowlark Mind & Body is used as a psychiatric decision-making tool to evaluate possible physiologic contributors to mental health symptoms and quality-of-life concerns, including mood, anxiety, fatigue, sleep, cognition, libido, motivation, and nervous system regulation. Lab testing does not replace primary care, emergency care, endocrinology, cardiology, gynecology, urology, pediatrics, or other specialty medical evaluation. Patients are encouraged to maintain routine care with their primary care provider and appropriate specialists.

Hormone-Related Care

Hormone-related treatments, when used, are provided as off-label adjunctive support for mental health and quality-of-life symptoms. Hormone therapy is not prescribed to diagnose or treat endocrine disease, menopause as a disease, hypogonadism, thyroid disease, infertility, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, or other non-psychiatric medical conditions outside the scope of psychiatric mental health care. Risks, benefits, alternatives, limitations, and off-label use are reviewed before treatment. Referrals to a primary care provider, endocrinologist, gynecologist, urologist, cardiologist, pediatrician, or other specialist are made when medical evaluation or specialty care is appropriate.

Ketamine & Spravato

Spravato® is only available after an appropriate clinical evaluation and is not appropriate for every patient. Treatment requires in-office administration and monitoring. Meadowlark Mind & Body follows applicable Spravato REMS safety requirements.

In select cases, off-label compounded ketamine may be considered as part of a carefully monitored treatment plan. Compounded ketamine is not FDA-approved for the treatment of depression, anxiety, or other psychiatric conditions and is not appropriate for every patient. Risks, benefits, alternatives, limitations, abuse potential, dissociation, sedation, blood-pressure effects, safety concerns, and monitoring expectations are reviewed before treatment. Patients experiencing suicidal intent, psychosis, mania, severe intoxication, substance misuse concerns, or medical instability may require a higher level of care or emergency evaluation.
